Wedding planning can be overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! Knowing how to get your skin photo ready is going to be a top priority and having a few self care experiences carved out while you plan, will be ideal. I’m here to help you focus on a few key steps that inspire healthy skin and I’ll give you the confidence you need to lead with your best complexion. I can customize the proper daily steps for your skin type and lifestyle, so you have healthy skin for that wedding day glow and long term results.
I realized at a very early age that I was focusing too much time and energy covering things up with makeup. Once I learned to care for my skin properly and I spent my time on my skin care routine, I started to realize the correlation between consistency and feeling beautiful. If I could give one piece of advice to a newlywed about makeup, it would be that
“Flawless skin translates beauty in photos better than any makeup application.”
-Kelli Thomsen
What does this mean for couples who want to look like the BEST version of themselves? There are 2 components to a sucessful day of beauty on your wedding day and I’ve narrowed it down to having a Consistent Daily Skin Care Regimen combined with Professional Treatments in the months leading up to the BIG day.
1. DAILY CARE – paraben free, cruelty free & botanical based skin care options. Consistency is KEY and I always love to mention drinking as much water as you can each day and getting 8 hours of sleep is always helpful. One of my favorite skin detox rituals is a cup of spearmint tea in the morning.
2. SKIN TREATMENTS
- Deep Cleansing Facials $150 // once a month (best in a series of 3)
- Chemical Peels // $175 every 4 – 6 weeks (best in a series of 3)
- Brows // every 4 – 6 weeks (5-7 days before wedding date)
- LED light therapy $30 – Blue light for acne/inflammation and Red light for anti-aging and brightening. A series of 3 can make a huge differene in the month leading up to the wedding day. Exepct the clarity of the skin and also the overall texture to improve.
Finding time for skin care in between all the dress fittings, engagement photo planning and cake and food tasting appointments is going to make all of the difference in how you feel and look. Making your skin a top priority will ensure that you feel your most best on your wedding day. There is nothing better than loving the way your smile and skin looks in photos, so YOU come through, not the makeup. Daily care and a personalized treatment schedule is the best way for me to ensure that my makeup application and your complexion is radiant.
