I think it’s safe to say that every girl has a list of items that she always carries with her. Some of mine  include a Shiseido eyelash curler, EVER DAYLIGHT Tinted Radiance Moisturizer SPF 32 with LSR10®, RMS lip & skin balm and these amazing elastic hair ties from Pharmaca—and when you rummage around in your bag for one and come up empty handed, that is when the frustration sets in...

We all know weddings can be highly stressful and in reality it’s not always going to turn out exactly how you imagined, but that’s why every wedding party needs to create and have a checklist. On your wedding day, you want to be as stress free as possible, so putting some actual time and thought into your list of supplies will come in handy.

As a licensed make-up artist, I am fortunate enough to have my summers packed with glowing brides and supportive bridesmaids. I cannot begin to put into words how exhilarating it feels and how thankful I am to make someone feel beautiful on one of the most important days of their life.

So.... you’re a bridesmaid, get a large tote and get to packing. And if you’re a bride, please do share this with your girls…because that whole “better safe than sorry” is ideal on your wedding day!

  • Button down shirt (or zip up sweatshirt).
  • Shoe pad inserts, for dancing the night away.
  • Clear Nail polish for nylon runs and same color you’re wearing Nail polish for touch ups.
  • Q-tips
  • Eye-makeup remover or towlettes
  • Tissues
  • Tweezers
  • Nail clippers & Nail file
  • Aspirin
  • Tucks Medicated Pads, normally used for hemorrhoids, but actually come in handy to de-puff the surrounding eye area later in the day when these bursts become frequent.
  • Sewing kit – snags can happen and they do, trust me (with mini scissors & safety pins).
  • Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Minerals in the Mist in Refresh ($24)/baby powder/deodorant & perfume.
  • Face Powder and concealer are applied as needed. (Youngblood Powder $44 & Youngblood Corrector $34)
  • Chignons are tightened with bobby pins and any curls are reinforced with hair spray before the reception.
  • Breath mints as needed.
  • Tampons (self-explanatory).
  • Spot remover, in tragic case of lipstick, powder, wine or chocolate landing anywhere near the dress.
  • Powder, both for combating shine and keeping makeup in place. I like Youngblood Hi-Definition Hydrating Mineral Perfecting Powder ($40) or Pressed Mineral Rice Power ($33).
  • Lipstick, because a bride needs lips! I like Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics lipsticks and lip liners, because they are vegan, cruelty free and stay on well.
  • Clear or nude gloss. If nothing else, you get a little shine and I suggest Youngblood Lipgloss in Naked.
  • A pen-style highlighter/concealer. It’ll fix any sort of smudge under the eyes or lipstick marks on cheeks. I like Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Eye Illuminating Duo ($22), double sided with one side being matte and one shimmery!
  • Other add-ons suggested: A wedge sponge for clean-ups and Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Minerals in the Mist in Refresh ($24), for feel-good spritzing and moisture boost to hydrate the skin and set make-up application, giving it that finished, flawless look!

If anyone has anything to add to this list, especially from experience, please share & happy bridal planning.
